‘91 Italian Cool

The Film My Own Privite Idaho, besides being the only movie Keanu Reeves was ever in where you really believe him- mainly because his good friend River Phoenix was co-starring with him, shows us a great example of an early nineties Italian hipster. This bit part actor is rockin’ the Arafat scarf, some hightop dunks, tight pants, and a denim jacket over a leather one. I remember Brooklyn booming with this look around twenty-05. Is this how far behind we are? Or, is it all a rehash? Has this fashion era finally reach critical mass?
